Amazing!! Black bear quints. Once in a lifetime photos.

Black  bears typically have two cubs; rarely, one or three. In  2007, in northern New Hampshire, a black bear sow  gave birth to five healthy young. There were two or three reports of sows with as many as 4 cubs, but five  was, and is, very extraordinary.
The photographer  learned of them shortly after they emerged from their  den and set a goal of photographing all five cubs  with their mom – no matter how much time and effort was involved. He knew the trail they followed on a  fairly regular basis, usually shortly before dark.  After spending nearly four hours a day, seven days a  week, for more than six weeks, he had that once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and photographed  them.

He used the equivalent of a very fast film speed on his digital camera. The print is properly  focused and well exposed, with all six bears posing as  if they were in a studio for a family portrait.

The  photographer stayed in touch with other people who saw  the bears during the summer and into the fall hunting season. All six bears continued to thrive. As time for hibernation approached, he found still more  folks who had seen them, and everything remained OK.  The photographer stayed away from the bears because  he was concerned that they might become habituated  to him, or to people in general, and treat them as approachable friends. This could easily become  dangerous for both man and animal.
After Halloween, no further reports and could only hope the bears survived until they hibernated. This spring, just before the snow disappeared, all six bears came out of their den and wandered all over the same familiar territory they trekked in the spring of 2007.
The photographer saw them before mid-April and dreamed nightly of taking another family portrait, a highly improbable second once-in-a-lifetime photograph.
On 25  April 2008, he achieved his dream.
When something as magical as this happens between man and  animal, Native Americans say, “We have walked together in the shadow of a rainbow.” And so it is with humility and great pleasure that I share  these exhilarating  photos with you.
Do pass  them  on!

Age seriously is just a number!

Am I “too old” to wear that? Am I “too young” to pull this off? Really, age is just a number. When it comes to the way you feel in your clothes, or just in everyday life, period.

Listen, when we shop at a clothing store or flip through the clothes in our closet, don’t we just about always see something that we like, but aren’t really “brave enough” to wear? More often than not, we either think we are “too old” or “too young” for it, or we think we may not look as hot as we want to in it. Don’t worry. This is a familiar female syndrome, AND.. You’re not alone!

There are bright sides to things like this, though. And no, we aren’t talking about hitting the gym or visiting your nearest plastic surgeon, although, hitting the gym is always an encouraged activity for your health & livelihood. We are talking about being unique and clever with your style. Stepping outside of the boundaries and maybe wearing something that’s not so traditional to don as a member of your daily garments. Yes, we are speaking simply about aprons. Now, don’t get us wrong. We don’t mean your typical, old school “grandma” plain-jane aprons. We are talking spicy, sexy, flirty, or fun full-length and waist aprons. They can be worn not only at an event, your job, or in the kitchen or restaurant, behind the bar or in the garden, but they could also play a fun part in your uniqueness by pairing it with skinny jeans, tights, or whatever you’d like!

Think outside the box! It’s time to get COMFORTABLE in what we wear.

Because age is just a number, and aprons should be the new fashion state-of-mind.

♧ As Luck Would Have It… â™§

Ever hear the expression, “Just my luck!” ?

Well, I think we all know that there are pessimists in the world, people who choose to remain negative in thought and speech. And then there are the others, who are all about staying happy, being positive, and displaying optimism. We, for one, prefer the latter way of thinking. Happy people are our favorite people!

Another favorite group of people of ours is the unique and stylish yet vintage and expressionists type of people. People with an old school, hip, “apron mindset” if you will.

We also love people in the restaurant business. People who dare to be different. Who take pride in standing out, being fun, and making a lasting impression. That is precisely what Apron Attitudes aprons can provide for those happy, unique, stylish people of the world and of the restaurant industry. We are the aprons, we are the uniforms, we are the full length and waist aprons, we are the kitchen and chef and restaurant styles – that ROCK.

Are you Irish? Doesn’t even matter. Because even though St. Paddy’s Day has recently ended, you are still in luck!

Who doesn’t like stylish?

Who doesn’t like to stand out?

Who doesn’t like uniforms with pizazz?

Or aprons with attitude?

And who doesn’t like FREE?
